In the name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate!

All praise belongs to Allah, Who having created us Muslims and favored us with Jihad, gave us an opportunity to conquer the Paradise. Let Peace and Welfare be with the Leader of all Mujahideen Muhammad the Prophet, with his family and his Companions, and with all those who followed his path right up to the Doomsday. And then...

This brief message is a reminder to Muslims about position of their battling brothers on Caucasus, an explanation for oppressed Muslims of Russia and the order for those who subordinates the soul to Shariah of Allah.

Successively Muslims of Ichkeria and Caucasus spend the eighth year in Jihad. Sincere believers get stronger in belief, hypocrites and traitors become stronger in disbelief, fear and hatred to Islam.

Situation is extremely clear and obvious. All masks for a long time are dumped, all persons are known. Traitors openly say about the treachery and are proud of it, spreading among people nasty thing and debauch.

Sincere Muslims go out for Jihad and search for the Mercy of Allah, openly battling with invaders and traitors.

Everyone receives that has deserved: mojaheds - freedom and Favor of Allah, hypocrites - humiliation in this life and severe punishment in the Hereafter.

The heavy losses were suffered by us in 2006, two our greatest leaders (Sheikh Abdul-Halim and Abdallah Shamil Abu Idris) became Shahids (Insha'Allah, are apprehended by mojaheds, as well as it is necessary to believing Muslims with patience and hope on decision of Allah, and He knows better.

Leaders of Muslims, as well as ordinary mojaheds, battle and perish, kill enemies and happen are killed. But our victims are in Paradise, and their victims are in the Hell, Insha'Allah!

On their place others come, stronger, impudent, proof. Wisdom of our Lord is those. AlhamduliLlah, we are happy with Allah, and He is Best of all patrons.

False propagation kafirs and hypocrites, broadcasting about the finish of war and successes of invaders, cannot change a real state of affairs. To hide the truth any time is possible, but the lie is powerless before sincerity and validity.

In view of our losses among the administrative board, we have reorganized some our military structures. Plans are corrected, tactics is changed, communications and coordination among separate divisions of mojaheds, directions and sectors are strengthened. Kadyrov becomes Chechnya president

The confirmation comes a day after Vladimir Putin, Russia's president, nominated Kadyrov for the post.

Kadyrov, 30, who had been Chechen prime minister, became acting president after last week's dismissal of Alu Alkhanov, who had increasingly criticised Kadyrov.

Security forces under the control of Kadyrov have been accused of human rights abuses by Russian and international rights organisations.

Sweeping vote

Kadyrov's nomination won 56 votes in the 58-member, two-chamber legislature, with two ballots ruled invalid.

Kadyrov follows in the footsteps of his father Akhmad Kadyrov, who was Chechnya's first pro-Moscow president.

Ahmed Kadyrov was assassinated in 2004, less than a year after he took office following a Kremlin-conducted election aimed at undermining the separatist rebel movement in Chechnya.

As prime minister, Ramzan Kadyrov led a federally-funded campaign to rebuild the region, left in ruins by two wars since 1994, in which Russian forces - and their local allies in the second war - fought separatist rebels.

Rebels and Russian soldiers still clash in the region where Russians are still targeted by roadside bombs and booby-traps.

Kadyrov has been at the heart of a Kremlin strategy to crush continued rebel resistance and establish order in the mostly Muslim region.

Russian strategy

Kadyrov's accession to the presidency comes after prominent Russian rights groups boycotted a Moscow-organised human rights conference in Grozny this week.

The rights groups said that attending the conference would lend Kadyrov's government undue legitimacy amid allegations of continued abuses in the republic.

Analysts say Putin has entrusted Kadyrov with power because he is seen as the only person who can keep Chechnya under control.

But his growing influence is also seen as a risk for the Kremlin; because some see his loyalty to Russia as being tied to his relationship with Putin, who steps down at the end of his second term next year. Pubished by alJazeera from Agencies on March 2

JUS Qoqaz, Feb 22, 2007 - Chechen Mujahideen have engaged in a series of operations and ambushes in recent days, in no small part due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s appointment of the brutal killer Ramzan Kadyrov as his presidential overlord in Chechnya that has been met with outrage among the locals.

The Chechen jihad is once again gaining momentum following a lull in operations after a several commanders were martyred in rapid succession. This clearly shows that the jihad there is not dependant on one individual but rather firmly rooted in the Chechens quest for liberation.

The current rise in operations is in no small part related to Russia’s criminal president Vladamir Putin’s decision to appoint tough guy Ramzan Kadyrov, a former rebel fighter accused of widespread human rights abuses to the position of President of the Chechen republic. Kadyrov, 30, who controls a militia of thousands, owns a pet tiger and is said to have tortured one opponent with a blow torch, was promoted by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, just a week ago today. Kadyrov has transformed Grozny into a shrine to himself with his portrait gazing down from billboards on street corners and his appointment as acting president has provoked outrage among Chechens who accuse his armed units of beatings, kidnappings and murder.

"This shows you Putin’s contempt for the Chechens," said Usam Baysaev, an analyst with the human rights group Memorial speaking to Reuters. "A man with people around him that only know how to kill and torture has been handed the reins of power."

This fact is surely not lost on Chechnya’s Mujahideen who in the past few days have carried out several operations and ambushes throughout the war-torn land that tallied more casualties for the Russian invaders according to reports from Qoqaz.

In Ros Martan, the Basayev unit of the Chechen Mujahideen destroyed a Russian troop transporter killing all eight Russian soldiers who were on board.

The Yasir unit destroyed a military truck loaded with ammunitions in the Santroy region however no further details were available.

In Vendeno, Chechen Mujahideen belonging to the Abdullah unit fired a series of rockets targeting a Russian military base located there. The attack ignited a fire inside the base however there was no way to ascertain accurate enemy casualties.

Meanwhile a Russian military jeep was ambushed while traveling between Shali and Waqdarmeez and all on board, including a Russian official and two of his soldiers were killed. The operation was carried out the Hussein unit according to the Qoqaz report.

The military command also pointed out that there are now a variety of small operations being carried out by the Chechen nationals that are taking down dozens of Russian occupation soldiers that is also helping to fuel the resistance.

World Chechnya Day is intended to commemorate the dignity and resiliance of a people who, against all odds, refused to be erased from existence.

On 23 February 1944, Stalin ordered the deportation of the entire Chechen and Ingush population to Central Asia. More than half of the 500,000 people who were to be forcibly transported died in transit or in massacres committed by Soviet troops. Those who survived the journey were left facing starvation and disease in the harsh winters of Siberia and Central Asia.

Within days an entire people had been erased from the land of their ancestors. Overnight Chechnya and Ingushetia were emptied of their native inhabitants, and every reference to Chechnya was removed from official maps, records and encyclopaedias.

In 2004, sixty years after the event, the European Parliament passed a motion that recognised this catastrophe as Genocide.

23rd February is World Chechnya Day. It is a day that few are aware of and yet none should forget.

Putin dismisses Chechen president

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, has dismissed Chechen leader, Alu Alkhanov, and promoted former prime minister, Ramzan Kadyrov, as acting president.

Kadyrov has long been seen as a successor to Alkhanov, whose resignation came at his own request according to a Kremlin statement (Picture on the left - Kadyrov with the outgoing Chechen President, Alkhanov on the right).

The Kremlin said: "Vladimir Putin signed a decree accepting the resignation of president Alu Alkhanov and appointing prime minister Ramzan Kadyrov to temporarily fulfil the duties of president of Chechnya."

Kadyrov takes on the post in a temporary capacity pending a provincial assembly decision.

Succession

Alkhanov, a former interior minister, was plucked from obscurity to head Chechnya in 2004 after a bomb killed Kadyrov's father, Akhmad.

Russia has fought two wars against Chechen fighters since 1994 in which thousands of soldiers, activists and civilians have died.

Fighting eased in 2001, but activists and Russian soldiers continue to clash.

The fighting has destroyed much of Chechnya, particularly the capital Grozny, but Kadyrov has led a largely federally-funded campaign to rebuild.

Kadyrov, 30 (picture left - look can be deceiving), heads a private guard that has been widely criticised for human rights abuses since Moscow launched an assault to rein in separatists in 1999.

He is said to have has also created a cult of personality, including banners that praise him draping from buildings, a practice which Alkhanov strongly criticised this week.

"Building a personality cult and idealising one person will bring no good to our republic and society," he said.

Russian reforms

Putin also appointed Sergei Ivanov, Russia's defence minister, to the post of first deputy prime minister, creating speculation about Russia's presidential succession.

Putin told a cabinet meeting that Ivanov's status was being "raised to the level of first deputy prime minister ... which of course means that in this situation he can't fulfil the role of [defence] minister".

The president said he was "broadening" Ivanov's responsibilities so that he would oversee not only Russia's military-industrial sector but also part of the civilian economy.

The move means Ivanov, 54, is promoted to the same level as another man considered by analysts as a possible successor to Putin, Dmitry Medvedev, first deputy prime minister, and chairman of energy giant Gazprom. Published by Agencies on Feb 15.

Kavkaz, February 14 - As the source inside the staff of Gudermes direction of CRI's Eastern Front reports, on February, 13th, in the Gudermes district, near to Ishhoy-Yurt village the fierce firefight with formations of kafirs and munafiqs has took place.

According to the representative of the Chechen command the mobile squad of 8 Mujahideen on the night of February 13, entered the village Ishhoy-Yurt to carry out an operative tasks. After the performing their tasks the squads left the village. During this moment the reconnaissance team of Mujahideen has revealed secretive movement of kafirs and munafiqs who apparently tried to suit an ambush to Mujahideen.

Chechen fighters immediately entered into fight, having attacked the enemy. In the first minutes of a gunbattle an army jeep UAZ with munafiqs has been destroyed.

Taking defense outside the village, Mujahideen battled with kafirs and munafiqs who storming Mujahideen's positions with armored vehicles for more than 8 hours.

The representative of the Chechen command has reported that during the firefight 4 Mujahideen were became Shaheeds (insha Allah). The remained part of a mobile squad by battling with enemy manages to leave the Ishhoy-Yurta area.

As representatives of the Chechen command have reported, during the fierce firefight 7 kafirs and munafiqs were eliminated and at least 9 enemy soldiers were wounded. However from invaders and puppets probably it is more than victims. The information on greater losses of invaders and collaborators was also confirmed by the local residents to whom the KC's source refers. We shall remind that the occupation sources have reported about the gunbattle in Ishhoy-Yurta district. Kavkav, January 30 - The Turkish commander Abdullah who is at war in Chechnya, addressing to Turkish Muslims has told: "We wish to be sure, that you have not forgotten us".

In the appeal of commander Abdullah is told:

"We always were, is and we shall be on the side of Chechen people, which is suffering under oppression of Russian invaders. During this struggle many of us, as well as among our Chechen brothers, became Shaheeds (Insha'Allah). More recently amir Abu Hafs was lost, and now he receives destiny at his Lord. However, despite of heavy losses, despite of the spilled blood and the suffered victims, our peoples continue this sacred struggle.

We learned much on an example of our amirs, who became Shaheeds (Insha'Allah), such as Abdul-Halim, Hattab, Shamil, Abu Walid and Abu Hafs. They always wished to become Shaheed on the Path of Allah and doubtless have given lives on His Path. Our commanders always set us a good example in this. For liberation from occupation we should work hardly, and experiencing difficulties we always should hope to the Help of Allah. For us is more better to be lost on this way, than to live under oppression. Who becomes Shahid on this way, he will be saved by Allah. And let continue Jihad, which outcome are or a victory by the Mercy of Allah, or death of martyr, let it will be prolonged! Remember, that Allah prescribed to us: "do not despair and do not lose courage, if you truly believed and the victory will come..."

Oh, Muslims, we continue Jihad. Under leadership of our leader Dokka Umarov and together with our commanders we are ready to accept the death of Shahid or to reach a victory. We are assured, that you are on our side and we transfer salam to you.

Brothers! Under direction of Amir Abu Anas we experience very active winter battling on the East Front of CRI. Though Russian army traditionally loves winter months, during this season we managed to cause to it the big loss.

Our commanders Abu Anas, Yasir, Osman, and others by the Mercy of Allah prepare to invaders unexpected surprises.Insha'Allah, soon we shall please you with good news.

We are grateful to Turkish Muslims and Muslims of all world for their prays and good wishes for us. May Allah will reward you for this! On other fronts of Caucasus our brothers mojaheds too battle not sparing themselves, many became Shaheeds, as well as the members of their families stirred up by invaders. These victims are unforgotten for us.

I hope that this news will reach you soon. Once again I transfer salam to you and I ask Allah about granting to you and us His blessing and a fast victory.

Kavkav Center, January 17 - Chechen President Dokka Umarov and through a special statement to “www.qoqaz.com” assure that Jihad in Chechnya is persistent -by God’s Well- until the last Russian soldier is kicked out from Chechnya. And what had happened in Chechnya within the last seven years through great sacrifices and the self-sacrifices for God’s sake will not go in vain, because victory will not be achieved without efforts, sacrifices, and devotion to Almighty God. He pointed out that the moral of the Mujahideen is high, which they work in an organized and well-arranged ways and means in all fronts and sectors of Chechnya, and they are preparing their gear for the coming summer.

In his statement, he threatened the russian occupations with more losses in Chechnya and he said that Russia is still contending stubbornly in spite of what is confronted daily in Chechnya, and despite of the effects of Chechnya Jihad on entire Russia, whether militarily, economically, or politically. Those effects will persist until Russia withdraws from Chechnya.

The communiqué ended with the supplication to God, to render Chechen Mujahideen victorious against Russian occupiers.

A Successful Attack Against A Military Convoy In Gudermes Region

Commander Aslanbek’s unit executed a successful attack against a military convoy that was moving on the main road between Gudermes and Argun. The unit managed to wreck three BMP armored vehicles and to burn a military truck that was loaded with ammunition.

Regarding killing Russians they were not less than 7 soldiers and the injured were more than that number. The unit withdrew successfully in accordance with laid plan carrying one Mujahid injured, wishing him recovery.

A Russian Traitor Murdered In Jokhar (Grozny)

Two of the Mujahideen that are attached to Commander Abu-Bakr Basayev, the Commander of "Grozny Center" carried out a successful murder operation against one of the traitors that was proven to be involved in transferring information about Mujahideen to the Russians.

This operation comes within concentrated operations that Mujahideen perform against Russian traitors in Chechnya.

8 Russian Soldiers Killed In Dargo

Eight Russian soldiers were killed in Dargo area after destroying their -BTR- vehicle that they were occupying to pass through one of Dargo’s roads. Operation was executed by Commander Osman’s unit.

29 December - A message from the Commander Muhannad (picture below), who recently assumed the leadership of the group of Islamic volunteers in Chechnya following the death of its previous commander, Abu Hafs al-Urduni, addressing Muslims participating in the Greatest Hajj (al-Hajj al-Akbar), was posted to the Arabic website qoqaz.com.

Muhannad's urging Muslims to support the Mujahideen in Chechnya both financially and morally. He asks Muslims making the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia to pray for the Mujahideen, as they have been deprived of the celebration of Eid al-Aha by the Russians, who "substituted it with killing, fear and misery".

Muhannad additionally states: "I give the good news to our Muslim brothers everywhere that your brothers, the Mujahideen in Chechnya, are still resisting the Russian occupier and their painful operations make the Russian bear suffer till the day - Allah willing - they will announce its withdrawal and defeat in Chechnya". Amir Abu Hafs, the Deputy Military Amir of Chechen Mujahideen martyred (Shaheed, insha Allah) in a fierce battle that lasted for several hours in the Dagestani town of Khasavyurt, on Sunday, November 26, 2006, according to a Tuesday report for the Kavkaz Center news agency from the Eastern Front Headquarters of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria's Armed Forces.

Two other Mujahideen martyred with him in the battle, Allah's willing, the report says. Earlier the Russians falsely claimed that they had killed 5 Mujahideen in the action.

Details of the battle are still unavailable. The battle lasted for the whole light-time period on Sunday, the report says.

The Russians earlier claimed that it lasted for 4 hours.

Amir Abu Hafs was born in 1973 in Jordan. After graduating from a university, he came in 1995 in Chechnya to fight as a volunteer against Russian aggressors. After martyrdom (Shaheed, insha Allah) of Amir Hattab, Abu Hafs became a deputy of Amir Abu Walid. And after Abu Walid (Shaheed, insha Allah), he became the commander of a group of volunteers. He was nominated a Deputy Military Amir of Chechen Mujahideen by the order of the Chechen President in 2005. KC.

Mansour shed light on several aspects of Khattab's personal life in an interview with Arab News. Khattab's real name was Samir Sa­leh Abdullah Al­-Suwailem. “There were two differing reports on how his brother was killed”, said al-Suwailem. According to one report, he died five minutes after opening a poisoned letter given to him by a trusted aide. The second report says that he was poisoned at a private party held about a month earlier.

Samir, who was born in Arar, a northern border city in Saudi Ara­bia in 1969, a brilliant student who scored 94 percent in the sec­ondary school examination.

Unlike other family members, he used to evince more interest in Islamic periodicals and tapes. He was very much impressed by the history of the second Caliph Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and therefore accepted the title Khattab. He joined a technical training conducted by Aramco. He planned to con­tinue his studies in the United States. Mansour could not give any specific reason for Samir's sudden change of mind about his plan to go to the United States. He joined the Afghan Ar­abs fighting the Russians at the age of 17 in 1987.

Mansour explained how Samir conceived the idea of going to Chechnya after watching a news broadcast on Afghan TV. The news broadcast showed several Chechen groups: wearing headbands with "No god but Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger­" written on them. They shout­ed Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Sa­mir was curious of the jihad in Chechnya and decided to go there. But he did not know how to get there and the map he bought did not show Chechnya on it. So he set out to Baku in Azerbaijan which is close to Chechnya.

While he was making inquiries on how to reach Chechnya, he re­ceived a letter from Fathi Abu Sayyaf, a Chechen of Jordanian origin describing­ the land, ‘'a man who enters it is lost and one who gets out of it is like a reborn."

Somehow or other, he managed to reach Chechnya, first entered as a TV reporter. He met many people and interviewed many of them of their understanding and perception of jihad. His proficiency in Arabic. Russian, English, and Pashtu helped him mix with all kinds of people. In his travels he also met Shamil Basayev.

It was about this time that he met an old Chechen woman who stressed the need for jihad against the Russians. She told him con­fidently: "We want them to quit our and so that we can return to Is­lam''

When asked how she would help in a jihad against Rus­sians, her reply was that she possessed only a jacket and she would donate it for the cause of Allah.

Suwailam said his brother sobbed until "his beard became wet with his tears", the meeting was a turning point in his life. Khhattab's actions were based on strong principles drawn from the Holy Qur'an and the Sun­nah of the Prophet. The ob­jective of jihad is to the es­tablishment of the religion of Al­lah, there is no negotiation with the enemy, the fight should not end until the enemy's threat was totally removed, jihad does not de­pend on the life of a leader, lead­ership does not mean comfortable position, and unity is the most im­portant requisite for fighting against Russia. He also stressed the need for treating civilians gent­ly and not harming them.

“Samir was seeking mar­tyrdom for the past 14 years”, Man­sour said. “He failed to achieve it in Afghanistan, then he sought it in Tajikistan. He was again dis­appointed, so went to Chechnya where finally Allah granted it to him”, the brother said with pride.

Samir was married to a Dagistani woman and had three children.
