The president was welcomed by Premier Ali Mohammed Gedi and other senior government officials at the airport.
This is the first time Mr. Yusuf arrived in the Somali capital
His arrival came as the once powerful Islamists fled the capital nearly two weeks ago after fierce battles between thousands of Ethiopian troops backing the government forces and Islamists.
