KL mayor honorary member of club

Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Abdul Hakim Borhan was made an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Bukit Bintang during the club’s recent Chinese New Year open house.
Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, who is also an honorary member of the club, conferred the Paul Harris Fellow Award on the mayor in recognition of his contribution as a civil servant for 38 years. The event was held at Casa Havana JW Marriot Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

The mayor also received a bouquet of flower from Tun Ling’s wife, Toh Puan Ena Ling.
The Rotarians then toasted the mayor’s health and Hakim later joined the guests in tossing yee sang.
A lion dance added vibrancy to the ceremony.
Also present at the event were former Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Kamarulzaman Sharif, who is also an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Bukit Bintang, and Menara Kuala Lumpur chief executive officer Datuk Zulkifli Mohamad.
