Tehran has long been threatening to shift its foreign exchange reserves out of U.S. dollars, but the battle against Tehran, its nuclear program, as well as plans to end trading oil in dollars seems to have already started.

It's been revealed recently that the Swiss banks UBS and Credit Suisse and London-based HSBC plan suspending dollar-based transactions with Iran and individual Iranians within few days.

The banks' move came in response to the persistent U.S. pressures in recent months to isolate Iran financially. Washington has been trying to persuade international banks to cut deals with Tehran, part of its efforts to force the Islamic Republic suspend its nuclear program as well as halt plans to start trading oil in Euros instead of the U.S. dollar. more..
